The Hydrogen Vehicles Cometh
Next Gen Vehicles with Alternative Fuels
In a world where we pay Rs 100 to drive to buy vegetables priced Rs 500, here’s a great piece of information.
The development of fuel cells and Hydrogen production technology is well on its way to our homes. Like the Hydrogen Fuel Cell Car. By 2020, coinciding with the much hyped VISION 2020 ranted by various Indian politicians, the total cost of fuel cell cars including the cost of the amount of hydrogen fuel used over a vehicle's lifetime, could become competitive with the present mainstream vehicles.
Although production costs are high, the U.S is spending a whopping $1.2 billion for the hydrogen production technology.
Vehicles today emit black cruddy smoke containing CO2 and whatnot that cause a zillion diseases and tears the ozone layer like a packet of Lays. Hydrogen fuelled cars emit water and heat as exhaust.
If all goes well, and US doesn’t wage a war against a new country, there would be 2 million Hydrogen vehicles on road by 2020.
The future of Hydrogen as a fuel is a certainty. And this Hydrogen powered baby from Honda certainly is awesome.
